I had the privilege of photographing Tory and Scott’s wedding on December 5. With the help of her bridesmaids, the bride got ready at the house she grew up in, a gorgeous older home in Salem.
I love this shot of the bride with her bridesmaids before they all left for the ceremony.
It was an emotional moment when the groom surprised her at the front door for the reveal. This photo shows just how excited each of them was to be see one another.
Prior to the ceremony, the bride and groom, along with their wedding party, headed toward the water for photographs. As you can see from the photo below, the wedding party was just as fun as the couple–we had a great time taking sunset photographs at Winter Island in Salem, MA, before the Salem Trolley brought us to the ceremony.
The ceremony was held at Immaculate Conception Church in Salem, right down the street from the Peabody Essex Museum, where the reception was held.
After the ceremony, guests carried lanterns to light the way to the PEM. It was such a nice idea!
The reception was catered by Hawthorne Catering at the Hawthorne Hotel. The PEM atrium was set beautifully with fruitwood chairs and golden uplighting. You can see the band, Flipside, getting ready in the background–they were fantastic!
The bride and groom glowed during their first dance. Look at that smile!
Both Tory and Scott work in Washington, so many of their guests flew up for the wedding. Just like the wedding party, they were a fun group who hardly ever left the dance floor.
I hope you enjoyed this peak at Tory and Scott’s special day. What a great new beginning!
